 Time: 5:30 - 6:30                                      

Where: Atkins School Library %u2013 Park in the front office area.

 Who: All Moms of students in gr. 3-5

(If mom can%u2019t attend dad can take her place.)             

                     Your 3rd %u2013 5th graders are working very hard in preparation for the MEAP.  We will share with you information that will help make the MEAP a successful experience for your children.   Please plan to attend.

Muffins & bottled water will be served.

  • Michigan's content standards are a set of learning expectations developed by parents, educators, business leaders and university professors to assist schools in the development of local district curricula. These standards and more detailed learning objectives called benchmarks are contained within the Michigan Curriculum Framework.
    In addition, Michigan has recently developed nationally recognized English Language Arts and Mathematics Grade Level Content Expectations (GLCE) providing K-8 educators with meaningful tools to better align what is taught with what is tested in the classroom
  • North West Regional Educational Laboratory: This site focuses on priority educational needs. The NW Regional Educational Laboratory conducts programs and projects under four Centers of Excellence, providing services in the areas of classroom teaching and learning; school and district improvement; school, family, and community; and research, evaluation, and assessment.
  • Mathematics Internet Sites (MASER):  Through the Math and Science Center at SVSU, this site enables teachers and students to use Internet resources as a learning tool which is fully integrated with their mathematics curriculums.
