Suzanne D. Brown, Principal
I am very excited to be the Principal of Bridgeport High School for the 2012-2013 school year. I am beginning my 13th year as an administrator in the Bridgeport-Spaulding School District.
I grew up in Saginaw, Michigan and attended the Saginaw Public Schools until my junior and senior year of high school. I graduated from Mercy High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan. I was fortunate enough my senior year to play on the state championship basketball team at Mercy. I went on to earn my Bachelors Degree in teaching from Central Michigan University, where I played basketball and softball. I earned my Masters Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Educational Leadership.
I had the pleasure of going back and working at Mercy High School as the Director of Admissions, Athletic Director, Varsity Softball Coach, and Teacher. After Mercy, I worked for nine years at Northwood University. I was the Assistant Athletic Director, NCAA Compliance Coordinator and the Women's Softball Coach. Being "Coach Brown" was one of my biggest career accomplishments. I am blessed to have coached so many outstanding and wonderful athletes.
As Principal, I am very fortunate to be a part of the wonderful Bridgeport-Spaulding Community School family. I believe in our mission of providing an opportunity for all students to learn and achieve success. My goal is to provide a safe environment for all and the opportunities for all students to be successful in their life journey.
