Mrs. Della Santina-Hahn

MRS. HAHN

(EI Support, BST Support, Math Intervention)

My name is Heidi Della Santina-Hahn. I teach grades 6th, 7th, and 8th. I am originally from Saginaw and graduated from Saginaw Valley State University. I started teaching in Bridgeport in January of 2009.

I am excited to begin the 2012-2013 school year! This year should be a great year for our students.

This year I am responsible for a offering support to some students who qualify for special education. I will also be working with a caseload of students in the Behavior Support Team Program (BST), to motivate and encourage them to be successful. I will also be helping with the math intervention program, offering support to students and helping them to icrease their basic skills in math.

Below are my basic classroom expectations for my students.

Classroom Expectations:

1. Follow Directions Without Talking Back

2. Ask For Permission to Get Up From Your Seat

3. Show Respect for ALL others

4. Be Prepared For Class

5. Follow all school rules

These rules go for not only in my classroom but throughout the school.

Behavior Strategies:

I use a reward and consequence behavior strategy with some of the students I work with students. When they are on task and behaving responsibly they are rewarded and if not there are consequences.

Goals:

My goal is to make sure that ALL my students are successful both in academics and behavior. We offer all the support we can to our students here at Atkins to make sure this is possible! Make sure to check STUDENT VIEW to track your student's progress. This is an online way to check your students grades. A computer is available in Atkins office. It is SUPER convenient.

Feel free to contact me anytime! You may call me at school or email me...
