About Me:  I've been a teacher at BHS for 15 years.  I've attended St. Johns High School, Eastern Michigan University, Saginaw Valley State University, and Central Michigan University.  I'm married to Christine and we have a son Andy.  My hobbies include reading, watching TV, and playing volleyball well, not so much volleyball anymore since I'm so old and out of shape.  

I am the Algebra 1 teacher in the Bearcat Academy.

Algebra 1 Info:

Materials needed:  binder and/or folder to save your papers (especially your homework packets and your Action Plan sheets), pencil or pen, lined paper; a ruler and graphical calculator is strongly recommended

Calculator info:  In class we will be using the TI-84 graphical calculator (a TI-83 or TI-84 SE will also work).  Our calculators have been updated to the latest operating system which gives "pretty print" capability for certain algebraic expressions.  These calculators are not available to checkout for home use so you are encouraged to purchase your own--it will last you throughout high school and college.  On sale it costs about $89 (the Silver Edition is $10 more).
